Welcome to British Psychological Operations History. My name's Lord Tim Heale and I'm gonna be taking you through this series. A little bit about me and my background. I joined the British Army a long time ago, and in 1999, I was transferred into 15 UK Psychological operations Group based at Chicksands.

While there, I did seven operational tours. In 10 years, I did two tours of Kosovo. I did Macedonia, And. I was in Macedonia when nine 11 happened. Five months later, I flew into Kapal on my first tour of Afghanistan in 2003, I did a tour of Iraq, and then I did two further tours of Afghanistan in 2006, seven and eight, nine.

So I have a good idea of what Psychological operations is all about. But this series, I'm gonna go way back to 1899 through to 1902, and look at the Boer War and what British influence had during that campaign. I'm gonna be looking at the First World War from 1914 to 1980. Gonna look at the Interwar years from 1918 to 1938.

Then we'll have a real concentration on the Second World War from 1936 through to 1946, because a lot happened. A lot of developments happened in that period of time. We're gonna look at a post-war years, the Cold War, what was going on with Russia and America. We're gonna look at the Far East. We'll look at places like Borneo, Hong Kong, Malay Korea.

We'll look at Africa. We look at the Sue, we look at Kenya, we look at Sierra Leone, we look at the Balkans War during the nineties. We look at the first Gulf War. We look at the Falklands War, and we'll finish off with the UpToDate stuff of what I was doing on my tours in Psychological operations.

If you wanna come along on this journey with me,
